Saie Tamhankar recently offered a glimpse into her off-screen camaraderie with Vijay Varma, sharing a candid behind-the-scenes moment from the sets of their upcoming project Matka King. The video, posted on Instagram, captures the actors in a light-hearted mood, reflecting the ease and spontaneity that defines their working dynamic.

In the clip, the two are seen joking around between takes, exchanging playful expressions and breaking into laughter. At one point, what begins as a mock rehearsal quickly dissolves into laughter, highlighting their comfort and natural chemistry. Adding a personal touch to the post, Tamhankar captioned it, “Just teaching our Matka King some Maharashtrian things!”

Speaking about her experience working with Varma, Tamhankar emphasised the collaborative energy he brings to the set. “Working with Vijay has been incredibly instinctive. But what I personally loved is how generous he is as a co-actor. There were so many moments during scenes where he would surprise me with a reaction or a pause I didn’t expect, and it would push me to respond differently in that moment,” she said.

She further added, “There is a constant exchange of energy, and even when the camera isn’t rolling, that rhythm doesn’t break. We found a comfort very early on, which allowed us to be more spontaneous, take risks and really have fun with the characters.”

Tamhankar, known for her versatile performances across projects like Mimi, Bhakshak and Dabba Cartel, continues to expand her range with Matka King. The film, also starring Varma, is expected to explore themes of ambition and risk, set against a gritty backdrop.
