Johannes Radebe has provided a much-needed update for fans about his Strictly Come Dancing ballroom whereabouts later this year.

It was recently confirmed that the professional dancer would host the show alongside Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe, following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
At the time of the announcement, Radebe noted: “To be returning to Strictly Come Dancing in this new role is beyond anything I ever imagined. This show has always stood for joy, heart, and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward.
“To do it alongside the formidable Emma Willis and the utterly brilliant Josh Widdicombe makes it even more special. I’m ready-sequins, nerves, and all… please bear with me. Love Jojo.”
However since the announcement, it hasn’t been quite clear who will have duties where. Prior to the host news, the BBC confirmed the professional dancers line-up, which included Radebe.

Now, the South African dancer has shed some light on what fans can expect from him on the show come September.
During an appearance on Willis’s BBC Radio 2 show, Radebe said: “No, listen, I’m not hanging [up] my dancing shoes yet. I’m not, I’m not. I will definitely be throwing some shapes and moving my hips. I can’t [not]. That’s my life.”
He added: “For it to be just taken away completely would be a travesty for me also. So, it’s not lost. There is a plan in action. I mean, it’s not my space any more to be on that dancefloor. But there’s gonna be … you’re gonna see JoJo.”
While it’s obvious that Radebe wouldn’t have a celebrity partner this year, it’s possible he could join a group number across the show’s run.

Kate Phillips, the BBC’s chief content officer, said: “Emma, Johannes and Josh’s chemistry is undeniable. There’s been so much speculation and hype, so I’m relieved we can share the news with the public at last!
“I’d like to thank all the brilliant people we saw before making this tough decision. But the most beloved ballroom in the UK always leads the way, and in a Strictly first we have chosen three outstanding hosts to take up the mantle.
“Along with our amazing Strictly team, who are busy planning fabulous and unforgettable treats for this new series, I know this terrific trio can’t wait to join our judges and pros to bring us must-see TV on the BBC this autumn.”
