England will look to reach their first World Cup final in 60 years when they battle bitter rivals Argentina at the Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday night.

Jude Bellingham was the Three Lions’ hero in the quarter-finals as his brace helped Thomas Tuchel’s team come from behind to beat Erling Haaland’s Norway in extra-time.

Tuchel was far from pleased with the performance, however, and believes his side need to show more quality on the ball if they are to take part in a World Cup final on foreign soil for the first time.

Reigning champions Argentina also needed an additional period to get past stubborn Switzerland in the last-eight stage.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dan Ndoye traded goals to take the game to extra-time before Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez struck late to continue their title defence.

The underlying historical tensions between England and Argentina add an extra element to the match as the nations meet on the pitch for the first time in more than 20 years.
