Welcome to your comprehensive (early) guide to everything coming to Netflix in May 2026! As we head into the early summer months, Netflix is turning up the heat with a massive slate of highly anticipated originals, returning favorites, and blockbuster live events.
Whether you’re looking forward to the new sci-fi adventure The Boroughs from the creators of Stranger Things, eagerly awaiting the mystery-solving return of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2, or gearing up for massive live broadcast specials like The Roast of Kevin Hart and a historic MMA showdown between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, this month’s lineup truly has something for everyone.

- Father of the Bride (1991) – George Banks is an ordinary, middle-class man whose relatively comfortable life is turned upside down when his beloved daughter announces her engagement, plunging him into a hilariously chaotic whirlwind of over-the-top wedding preparations.
- Father of the Bride Part II (1995) – Just as he finally recovers from the stress of his daughter’s wedding, George Banks faces a double dose of unexpected news: both his recently married daughter and his wife are pregnant at the exact same time.
- Goat (2026) – If recent Sony Pictures addition patterns hold true, we could see a May release for the latest Sony Pictures Animation movie. Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, and Aaron Pierre lend their voices.

- Washington (2020) – This documentary miniseries chips away the marble to reveal the man at the heart of America’s story, tracing George Washington’s journey from an ambitious young soldier to the victorious general and first President of the United States.
- The Great War (2024) – Covering the United States’ pivotal involvement in World War I during the critical year of 1918, this cinematic documentary follows General John J. Pershing and the brave soldiers who fought in the trenches and helped transform America into a global power.
