Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Boroughs.

Netflix’s starry new sci-fi, The Boroughs, whisked us away on a monster hunt with a series that felt like a combination of Stranger Things and The Thursday Murder Club. Now, all eyes are on whether the adventure will be continued in a potential season 2.
Alfred Molina starred as Sam, the reluctant widower moving into the picturesque retirement home where strange forces seem to be at play in the new series, which is executive produced by the Duffer Brothers.
Teaming up with the likes of Geena Davis’s Renee and Alfre Woodard’s Judy, he found himself at the centre of a supernatural conspiracy – with terrifying consequences.
But, with that particular mystery wrapped up, could the gang be back for more? Here’s everything we know so far.
Will there be The Boroughs season 2?
The Boroughs has not yet been renewed for season 2.
Considering how the final episode ended, with the ending proving rather ambiguous, we’re hoping a second season will be greenlit.
However, it’s likely that Netflix will want to assess how the show performs before confirming another season.

When could a potential season 2 of The Boroughs be released?
Currently, it’s difficult to say when a second season could be released.
Season 1 was turned around in three years, with the show originally being ordered in 2023.
For a second season, we’d expect this timeline to be shorter, so potentially we could be looking at a 2028 release if season 2 is greenlit.

Which cast members could return for a potential season 2 of The Boroughs?
If a season 2 is confirmed, we’d expect the following cast members to return:
- Alfred Molina as Sam Cooper
- Geena Davis as Renee
- Alfre Woodard as Judy
- Clarke Peters as Art
- Denis O’Hare as Wally
- Jena Malone as Claire
- Carlos Miranda as Paz
Due to the events of season 1, we wouldn’t expect Bill Pullman to return as Jack, or any of the main villains.
Is there a trailer for The Boroughs season 2?
Not yet! Why not revisit the season 1 trailer in the meantime?
The Boroughs is available to stream on Netflix now.
