Pedro Pascal wants to keep playing Din Djarin after The Mandalorian and Grogu
Pedro Pascal recently appeared at a Q&A in London, where he shared that he wants to continue playing his The Mandalorian and Grogu character, Din Djarin.
After portraying the character for seven years, Pascal is finally taking on the big screen as Djarin. The Mandalorian and Grogu will be out in theaters on May 22. According to GamesRadar+, Pascal went on to express how grateful he is to play Djarin and asserted, “It’s the longest creative relationship I’ve had, it’s the character that I’ve played the longest. Hopefully, I get to continue playing him for as long as my body, or as many bodies as we put into the suit, can take it.”
According to the Star Wars official website, the description of the movie reads, “The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”
Pascal further details what fans can expect from the movie, saying that Djarin is trying to ensure Grogu “can survive in a world without him.” He conveyed that Djarin is aware that Grogu will outlive him, which is “sentimental” for him. He added, “None of us wants to let go of our child, and none of us wants to keep that child from growing into everything that they can do. So that’s the very textured relationship and story that they’re able to tell on a thrill ride that you cannot believe.”
