A unique opportunity has opened up for aspiring singers across the country as Zee Music Company, Aamir Khan Productions, PVR and Kommune have joined hands to launch Ek Din Ki Mehfil. The initiative gives internet creators and emerging vocal talent a chance to perform on a grand stage in front of Aamir Khan, Sai Pallavi, Ram Sampath, and Junaid Khan.

Designed as a digital-to-live performance platform, the contest invites participants to reinterpret the title track of the upcoming film Ek Din and share their version on Instagram. Contestants need to create a reel using the official audio track, upload it on their main feed, tag #ZeeMusicCompany and #AamirKhanProductions, and submit the entry through direct message using #EkDinKiMehfil.

The last date for entries has been set for April 23, while the winners will be announced on April 24. According to the organisers, the top three entries will be selected based on a mix of views, likes, comments and shares. These finalists will then move beyond social media and perform live at Ek Din Ki Mehfil in the presence of the film’s team.

The campaign also serves as a promotional build-up for Aamir Khan Productions’ upcoming release Ek Din, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 1, 2026. The romantic drama is directed by Sunil Pandey and written by Sneha Desai, who received recognition for Laapataa Ladies.

The film marks the Hindi film debut of acclaimed actor Sai Pallavi, who stars opposite Junaid Khan. Their fresh pairing has already generated interest among moviegoers. The story is adapted from the 2016 Thai hit One Day and revolves around Rohan, a reserved office employee who gets an unexpected chance to spend time with his colleague Meera after a memory-loss incident changes the course of one day.

Produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan, the film features music by Ram Sampath with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The soundtrack is expected to play a major role in the film’s promotions, making the launch of Ek Din Ki Mehfil a strategic move ahead of release.

With music, fan participation and live performance at its core, the initiative is likely to attract strong attention online while giving new singers a rare platform in front of some of the industry’s known names.
