What happens in the Couture trailer?
The trailer for Couture highlights Jolie’s time in Paris, during the frenzy that is Fashion Week. In the midst of collaborating with different models and cultures, Jolie’s Maxine also finds herself involved with a collaborator in a romantic relationship, and must go on a journey to find out more about herself.
Alongside Jolie, Couture also stars Louis Garrel, Ella Rumpf, and Garance Marillier. The film is written and directed by Alice Winocour, who previously 2019’s Proxima and 2022’s Paris Memories.
Jolie has previously described the project as deeply “personal.” In a December 2025 interview withTime France, the actress said she felt an immediate connection to the character and praised Winocour’s approach to the subject. She explained, “Too often, films about women’s struggles — especially cancer — talk about endings and sadness, rarely about life. Alice has made a film about life, and that’s precisely why the sensitive subjects it addresses are handled with such delicacy.”
