“Is everyone sick or something?” The Horror Section + Studiocanal UK debuted their own new international trailer for Eli Roth’s next horror movie titled Ice Cream Man, which is a full-on feature and not just a fake horror trailer. This opens in US theaters in August and also in the UK at the exact same time. The premise sounds like it’s one of his recent fake grindhouse trailers, but like Thanksgiving, Roth has turned this into an actual movie. Another horror movie about kids turning crazy! An idyllic suburban town descends into madness after a mysterious ice cream man serves frozen treats that turn children into homicidal maniacs. Ari Millen stars as the titular “Ice Cream Man” in this, with a cast featuring Eli Roth, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Charlie Zeltzer, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Storey, and tons of kids. This is not a red band trailer so they recolor all the blood in it to be anything but red. It still looks entirely bonkers weird & super freaky, and not exactly in a good way…
