“See you on the other side. Jack.” Here we go, sci-fi geeks! Time to jack in! At their Comic-Con presentation, Apple TV unveiled their impressive first real teaser for their imaginative adaptation of the iconic cyberpunk sci-fi novel Neuromancer, from author William Gibson. Yes they’re adapting this and it actually looks like it might be pretty good! The streaming date is set for January 2027 – but it should be worth the wait to get there. Set in the futuristic Chiba City in Japan following a hacker who gets caught up in a heist. “I’m the best console man around. I steal data in cyberspace.” Apple’s Neuromancer series follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case, who is thrust into a web of digital espionage & high-stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin, as they pull off a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets. This stars Callum Turner as Case and Briana Middleton as Molly, along with Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Clémence Poésy, Joseph Lee, Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Junia Rees, Jordan Kouamé, Emma Laird, Marc Menchaca, & Isabella Pappas. This is just a quick glimpse first look trailer – but we get a taste of the world they’ve built and many of the characters. Yep I’m all about this so far. This footage is dope.
