“If D-Day is cancelled, we will lose this war…” Studiocanal has revealed one final international trailer for the World War II movie titled Pressure, which is already playing in US theaters right now. Strangely it will open in the UK later in the year in September (some 4 months later after the US launch). The film tells the tense story of deciding to go forward with D-Day on June 6th, 1944 sending troops into Northwest France. In the final days before the planned Allied invasion of Europe in 1944, Royal Air Force meteorologist Cpt. James Stagg must deliver a weather report to the Allied high command on the feasibility of the planned D-Day. The weather needs to be perfect or else. This war film thriller stars Brendan Fraser as Eisenhower, Andrew Scott as Cpt. James Stagg, Kerry Condon as Cpt. Kay Summersby, Damian Lewis as Marshall Bernard Montgomery, Chris Messina as Irving P. Krick, Henry Ashton as John Eisenhower, with Con O’Neill, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Toby Williams, and Max Croes. We’ve posted a handful of trailers for this movie already. I’m fascinated by the mix of actual archival footage from D-Day and WWII and how they edit it into all the footage they shot of actors on set. Looks good! Worth a watch whenever it’s out near you.
Here’s the second international trailer (+ poster) for Anthony Maras’ WWII movie Pressure, on YouTube:

You can watch the first official trailer for Anthony Maras’ Pressure movie right here + full UK trailer here.
In the tense 72 hours before D-Day in 1944 during World War II, and the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) and Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) as they face an impossible choice—launch the largest & most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether. Pressure is directed by the Australian producer / filmmaker Anthony Maras, director of the movie Hotel Mumbai previously, as well as numerous other shorts. The screenplay is written by David Haig and Anthony Maras; adapted from the 2014 stage play Pressure also written by David Haig. Produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Focus Features debuts Maras’ Pressure movie in US theaters starting May 29th, 2026 in the summer. It then opens in the UK later on September 9th after. Who wants to watch?
