You’ve got no idea what you’ve got there in your hands.” 😱 Sony Pictures revealed the first full official trailer for the new Resident Evil movie directed by visionary genre filmmaker Zach Cregger, best known for his two horror mega hits Barbarian and Weapons. Looks crazy freaky! This is the latest attempt at re-adapting the video game series and bringing the insane horrors from that franchise to the big screen. The story in this latest movie follows a hapless medical courier tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital – found in Raccoon City. He soon finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and must fight through hordes of mutated creatures & undead to survive. Starring Austin Abrams (who was also in Weapons), with Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser. Plus tons of scary creatures & monsters galore. This trailer features much of the same footage in the teaser but still looks awesome. Cregger serving up even more horror excellence in 2026.
