Gritty Danish drama The Uniform has found its UK home and will be coming to the BBC later this year.

The six-episode series follows Youssef (Soheil Bavi), a young rookie cop whose dreams of becoming a police officer are dashed after he fires his weapon on duty.
The incident leaves a man dead, prompting a nationwide backlash.
At the competitive Danish police academy where his training comes under intense scrutiny, the facility goes into lockdown as the story becomes national news – with people pointing fingers in several directions over who is to blame.
With public outrage soaring, war brews among those in charge and threatens the future of the entire police system within the country.

Sanne Hammerby (Lene Maria Christensen) is brought in as the new principal of the academy to clean up the mess, but her appointment pits old ideals against new – so she soon finds herself delving into murkier waters than she could have anticipated.
Meanwhile, Youssef becomes central to the scandal, with his bond with fellow cadets buckling under the pressure.
While his friendship with fellow officer Daniel (Vikings’ Marco Ilsø) begins to fracture, his growing bond with Freja (Morbius’s Clara Rosager), a first-year trainee at the academy, threatens to expose deeper secrets.
According to the official synopsis: “The Uniform exposes the deadly cost of loyalty and corruption within a fractured and fiercely competitive police academy in contemporary Denmark.”
