With viewers currently able to see Siân Brooke starring in the second season of The Undeclared War, we’ve just received an update on the series for which she is arguably most famous.
That’s because a set of first-look images have been unveiled for the fourth season of acclaimed police drama Blue Lights, in which Brooke plays Grace Ellis.
Brooke is seen in two of the images, including one in which she is alongside Martin McCann as Stevie Neil. Also appearing in the new images are Katherine Devlin as Annie Conlon and Nathan Braniff as Tommy Foster.
Alongside the release of the images, it has also been confirmed that season 4 will arrive on BBC One and BBC iPlayer sometime this autumn.
Other stars returning for season 4 include Frank Blake as Shane, Joanne Crawford as Helen, Andi Osho as Sandra, Abigail McGibbon as Tina, Dearbháile McKinney as Aisling, Neil Keery as McCloskey, Andrea Irvine as Nicola, Cathy Tyson as Dana Morgan and Michael Smiley as Paul ‘Colly’ Collins.
Meanwhile, as was previously revealed, there will also be returns for a number of characters who have been absent of late, in a flashback episode which is said to “answer important questions from the past”.
This includes Richard Dormer as Gerry Cliff, who was killed off in season 1, along with Hannah McClean as Jen Robinson and Jonathan Harden as disgraced former Inspector, Jonty.

The new six-part season has once again been written by co-creators Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson.
The release of the images comes after a clip from season 4 was unveiled earlier this month. That clip saw Shane stopping an elderly driver, David (Trevor Gill), and his passenger, Imelda (Rosamund Monteith), and asking them whether they had consumed any alcohol, in a bid to improve Blackthorn’s crime statistics.
Blue Lights season 4 will air on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.
