Actor Shambhavi Singh has opened up about her experience filming in Manali for Star Plus’ television show Mr and Mrs Parshuram. While the scenic backdrop added visual appeal to the upcoming episodes, the actor revealed that shooting in freezing temperatures came with its own set of challenges.

EXCLUSIVE: Shambhavi Singh recalls shooting a chiffon saree sequence in Manali snow for Mr and Mrs Parshuram; says, “It felt like a classic Bollywood love story”
The cast and crew recently travelled to Manali to film an important sequence that will play a key role in the show’s narrative. The upcoming track revolves around the kidnapping of Parshuram, introducing a dramatic twist that is expected to raise several questions about his fate and eventual rescue.
Alongside the action-packed storyline, the schedule also included romantic scenes set against the snow-covered landscape of Manali. For Shambhavi, who plays the role of Shalini in the show, one particular sequence stood out. Sharing her experience, the actress said, “One of my favourite moments from the Manali schedule was shooting a romantic sequence in a chiffon saree amidst the snow-capped mountains. It felt like I was living a scene straight out of those classic Bollywood love stories we all grew up watching.”
However, she admitted that the picturesque visuals came at a cost. Filming in extremely cold weather proved to be physically demanding for the cast and crew. “While it looked magical on screen, filming in those freezing temperatures was definitely challenging. This was my first time witnessing snowfall, and it was a surreal experience,” she said.
Shambhavi also revealed that many members of the production team were experiencing snowfall for the first time, which added to the excitement on set. “In fact, many members of our crew were seeing snow for the first time, so there was a lot of excitement on set,” she shared.
The actress further spoke about the impact of the weather conditions, explaining that she fell ill during the schedule due to the sudden change in climate. “The cold was intense, and I even fell sick because we’re so used to Mumbai’s weather. But the beauty of the location and the excitement of filming there made it all worthwhile,” she added.
The Manali schedule forms a key part of the upcoming episodes of Mr and Mrs Parshuram, which will see the story take a dramatic turn with the kidnapping track while also offering viewers visually striking moments filmed amidst the Himalayan landscape.
Mr and Mrs Parshuram airs daily at 7 PM on Star Plus and is also available for streaming on JioHotstar.
