There’s no denying that 2025 might be one of the biggest years in recent memory for Netflix shows. Throughout the year, the streaming service released new seasons of smash-hit series like The Night Agent, Ginny & Georgia, Squid Game, Wednesday, Nobody Wants This, and Stranger Things, which was the true marquee release of the entire year overall.
But just because 2025 was a massive year for Netflix shows returning with new seasons, as well as new Netflix shows winning us over big time, don’t expect 2026 to be a ghost town. There are still so many exciting original series set to return with new seasons throughout the year, and the streamer also has what will surely be a long list of our next favorite binge-watches locked and loaded.
This spring and summer boasts great new picks from Netflix, including the highly anticipated Little House on the Prairie reboot, the follow-up season for Beef, and the animated spinoff Stranger Things: Tales from ’85. 2026 also promises new seasons of Sweet Magnolias, The Hunting Wives, Running Point, and more fan-favorite series.
New Netflix shows premiering in 2026
Before the new year arrived, Netflix already announced a few release dates for shows coming in the first few months of 2026. Bridgerton season 4 released in two parts across January and February, while breakout hit drama series His & Hers arrived in January. The year kicked off once again with a new limited series for Harlan Coben, and there’s even more to come from the thriller king.
Now that we’re getting into spring, and soon summer, there are so many more new Netflix shows to look forward to.
