Good Omens favourite Michael Sheen has teared up while talking about the show’s finale in a newly released behind-the-scenes video.
The Prime Video show has come to an end after three seasons and seven years on screens.
The fantasy comedy series follows an unlikely friendship between a fussy angel, Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen and a loose-living demon, Crowley, brought to life by David Tennant.
Having spent 6,000 years on Earth and grown deeply fond of humanity, they team up to thwart Armageddon – the final, apocalyptic war between Heaven and Hell.
After the release of the final season, the two leads have opened up in a new behind-the-scenes video about their time on the show and the relationship they have built.
Visibly moved, Sheen said: “It’s hard to talk about it really without getting very emotional,” before adding: “Sorry,” while wiping away tears.

Struggling to get words out, he continued: “It’s been such a pleasure to play these characters and go through it with David. It’s been… it’s been wonderful.”
Still sporting Crowley’s trademark red hair, Tennant said: “Michael and I knew each other from way back but not well at all, we were acquaintances really.
“The chance event of being cast together in this was luck, really, because a lot of this story has kind of hinged on that double act of Aziraphale and Crowley. I think we just enjoyed each other’s acting initially.”
He added: “We enjoyed what each other brought to the parts. It has continued to be a joy ever since. I don’t really… I’m not really accepting that that’s coming to an end I don’t think.”
Good Omens will not be returning for a fourth season, as Aziraphale and Crowley’s story came to a close.
Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.
A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.
Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in “rough” sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.
He said: “As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don’t, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
“I’m far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever.”
