After taking an opening of Rs. 7.50 crores on Friday, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai had a stable Saturday as Rs. 7.20 crores came in. The film saw almost the same number yesterday though given the merits, a crore or two more was expected.
Audience word of mouth is decent at least and that’s generally good enough to help a film grow reasonably well over the weekend. The collections so far are decent but then one would expect growth to come today. Also, it’s now very much required that the weekdays are stable as well and the drop is not more than 50% on Monday.
The offers are there for the film and by the look of it they would continue into the weekdays as well. Moreover, Blockbuster Tuesday offer would be taken for sure which means there would be a spike in collections seen. There is a plethora of new releases next Friday and though we are not talking about biggies here, each one of them would require screens at least. The David Dhawan film does have ingredients of being a wholesome entertainer and one just hopes that the buzz spreads faster amongst the audiences to give it a dekko in days to come.
