Riverdale star KJ Apa has been confirmed as one of the three lead stars in Netflix’s latest Harlan Coben adaptation.

The upcoming series will be inspired by the Myron Bolitar books, Coben’s longest-running novel collection which to date has 12 instalments.
The character Myron Bolitar uses charm, smarts and wit to reinvent himself as a sports agent when his own career ends due to injury.
According to the announcement from Netflix, Myron will have to navigate “the high-stakes and dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself”.
Leading the cast is The Flight Attendant’s Colin Woodell as the leading agent, with Apa – who is best known for playing Archie Andrews in the long-running teen drama Riverdale – playing Win Lockwood.
The character is described as a highly privileged man who walked away from his family business to start something of his own with Myron.

According to Variety, Lockwood is “unflappable, endlessly resourceful, and fiercely loyal – he’s the one Myron turns to when clients find themselves in trouble”.
Completing the lead trio is Orange Is the New Black’s Diane Guerrero as Esperanza Diaz, a former pro wrestler who has become Myron’s right-hand lady, complete with a razor sharp wit and ability to keep everyone, including Myron, in order.
The series was first announced by Netflix back in May as part of its upcoming slate; however, a release date is not currently known.
Big Little Lies creator David E Kelley will executive produce the series alongside Coben.

At the time of the announcement, Coben penned a statement saying he’s “honoured” to be partnering up at Netflix with Kelley and his team, adding: “The Myron Bolitar books mean a great deal to me, and I’m thrilled to have such a talented and inspired group bringing them to life.”
Myron Bolitar is the latest in a string of projects based around Coben adaptations, which have become regular events on Netflix since a multi-million pound deal was signed with the author in 2018 for access to 14 of his works.
In 2022, it was announced that Netflix had extended its deal with Coben another four years, and added 12 more Coben novels, including the Bolitar series.
This year alone, the streaming service has released Run Away and I Will Find You – both crime mystery limited series with all-star casts.
Myron Bolitar is coming soon to Netflix.
