A dramatic first look at James Norton’s character in a rage has been released for House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4.
The Game of Thrones spin-off series from HBO has had an explosive start to its third run, with Norton joining the cast as Lord Ormund Hightower, the cousin of Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and now one of the chief threats to the reign of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy).
In the third episode, Ormund handed over his ward and Alicent’s son, Prince Daeron Targaryen, in a surrender to Rhaenyra’s forces, but the end of the episode confirmed that the boy delivered was a decoy, and the real Daeron remains with Ormund, who has now captured the market town of Tumbleton.
Will Rhaernya rain down Fire and Blood on her own citizens to defeat Ormund?
The array of images for next week’s halfway point for the season shows an array of cast members, including a pensive Rhaenyra and her husband Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith).

We can also see shots of Alicent and her daughter Helaena Tagraryen (Phia Saban), plus Alicent’s brother Ser Gwayne Hightower (Freddie Fox) and her lover Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), who now appear to be at Harrenhal, where it seems witchy Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) awaits.
However, the biggest story seems to reside in Tumbleton as we see Lord Ormund in a rage or anguish and striking his sword into a table.
What has occurred to anger the Lord of Oldtown so much? And where is the real Prince Daeron? Considering he has his own dragon, Tessarion, he looks set to be a major player going ahead.
