“The world that was, doesn’t exist… It’s just us trying to hold onto ‘what was’… And everyone else.” 20th Century has revealed the first official trailer for Ridley Scott’s next new movie – a post-apocalyptic thriller called The Dog Stars, based on the book by Peter Heller. The Dog Stars is now ready to open in theaters in late August this year, after first being set for release this spring. We finally have a first look at some legit footage. Sparse survivors in the aftermath of a catastrophic pandemic traverse a post-apocalyptic landscape to find the origin of a mysterious radio transmission – wanting more from their lives. Jacob Elordi stars in it as Hig, a civilian pilot flying his Cessna around. With Brolin as a tough ex-marine. They face invaders and the struggling of hoping for a better life outside of their current existence. Starring Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, and Margaret Qualley, with Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, & Allison Janney. And yes it has a dog in it, they even put him on the poster, too. Looks like an intense thriller with some cool post-apocalyptic vibes set in the mountains. Where is it leading? What is this “dream” they’re looking for? Anyone out there?
