Alia Bhatt has joined the growing list of celebrities praising Daadi Ki Shaadi, the recently released family comedy-drama starring Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma and debutante Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The film, directed by Ashish R. Mohan, released in theatres on May 8 and has been receiving positive reactions for its emotional storytelling and family-centric humour.

On Friday, Alia took to Instagram to share her review of the film along with a picture featuring Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Appreciating the film’s emotional and entertaining narrative, she wrote, “Left with a warm smile on my face. Twists, turns & nonstop laughter… woven into a story with so much heart, and the awkward, hilarious, lovable chaos that families are made of.”

She further praised the performances of Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima, writing, “@neetu54 @riddhimakapoorsahniofficial both of you light up the screen #DaadiKiShaadi in your nearest theatres!!” Alia also tagged the film’s cast and crew, including Kapil Sharma, Sarath Kumar and Sadia Khateeb.

The appreciation from Alia comes shortly after Aamir Khan also publicly lauded the film during a media interaction after attending a special screening. Calling it a “beautiful family film,” Aamir praised the performances of the ensemble cast and especially highlighted Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s acting debut.

He said, “Bahut badhiya film banayi hai. Bahut hi khoobsurat family film hai jismein emotions hain, humour hai, hasi bhi aayegi aur aapke dil ko hi chu legi yeh film.” He also praised Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma for their performances before adding, “Riddhima ki pehli film hai, bahut badia kaam kiya hai, Ranbir se better kiya hai.”
