This summer marks the start of a new era at Liverpool. New boss Andoni Iraola has been named as the replacement for Arne Slot and is charged with bringing the good times back to Anfield.

The Spaniard will have to do so without a host of key players as Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Traore all left the Reds at the end of last term.

While a fresh start may be no bad thing for Liverpool and Iraola, it makes a positive pre-season all the more important.

The start of the Premier League has been delayed due to the World Cup but already teams are stepping up their preparation for the 2026/26 campaign.

Liverpool’s pre-season starts with a tour of the USA before they return to Anfield to host Monaco and Como in the weeks before the top flight kicks off.
