George Knight has left the Love Island villa, just days after he entered as a bombshell and shook up the villa.

The semi-professional footballer, who had struck up a connection with Robyn Langton, will feature in tonight’s episode but has since left the villa. His exit scenes are not expected to air.

A Love Island spokesperson confirmed: “For private reasons, George has left the Love Island villa.”

A source added: “Duty of care for the Islanders is paramount so at this stage any further comment will come from George. Bosses and viewers alike had been loving his contribution.”

George was introduced to audiences during the launch episode as a bombshell but before he got to make himself at home, he and fellow bombshell Yasmin Hadlow were given a secret task.

They were told that one boy and one girl would be dumped from the villa and it was down to them to decide who stays and who goes.
Last night (3 June) saw them decide to dump Ellie Chadwick and Samraj Toor – though Love Island had a trick up its sleeve and they weren’t dumped… but were instead offered a second chance.

Tonight, following a shock text informing them that their Love Island journey isn’t over, Ellie and Samraj sneak off to somewhere much closer to home than the airport… The Hideaway.

Later, as they head to bed, Samraj tells Ellie: “I didn’t think I’d be spending my first night in the Hideaway with you Ellie, as much as I love you!”
