Marking her 24th appearance at Cannes as a L’Oréal ambassador, the actor showcased a series of couture looks that blended dramatic silhouettes with classic elegance. Now, celebrity stylist Mohit Rai has shared details about the thought process behind curating her fashion choices this year.

Speaking about styling Aishwarya for one of the most closely followed red carpet appearances from India, Mohit explained that the team’s primary focus was to honour her enduring legacy and iconic status in fashion and cinema. “I think for us the most important thing was to just remember her legend and keep that in mind constantly through every look and just to sort of give deliver that messaging across everything something timeless something beautiful something iconic and legendary not something that’s essentially screaming constantly for attention but just it’s just effortlessly glamorous and beautiful,” he said.

Aishwarya’s Cannes wardrobe this year featured a mix of couture statements and contemporary glamour. Among her standout appearances was a custom-made abyss blue mermaid-style couture ensemble designed by Amit Aggarwal. She also wore a blush pink gown by Sophie Couture, embellished with matching Swarovski crystals and paired with a dramatic cape. Another notable look included a white pantsuit by Cheney Chan styled with an oversized feather boa.

Mohit Rai also reflected on handling the pressure and attention that surrounds Aishwarya’s Cannes appearances every year. According to the stylist, maintaining focus on authenticity and craftsmanship was more important than reacting to external commentary or trends. “I think for me always when I’m working with anyone, it’s always important to sort of block out the noise and just focus on the task at hand, which particularly I think in this case is of course one of the most watched moments of the red carpet across the year I think in India. So I think it’s important to just remember that you have to do a great job and you have to do a beautiful, you have a beautiful muse and a subject and just to deliver the authenticity of couture and luxury that she stands for without necessarily I think being bothered by the, you know, just all the noise around,” he added.
