Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has officially commenced principal photography for the upcoming dark fantasy sequel film Tumbbad 2 on an active film set during the festive occasion of Eid. The performer transitioned to this new studio production schedule immediately after completing the promotional cycle for his recent drama feature Main Actor Nahin Hoon, which completed a successful domestic box office run as a low budget independent film that drew praise for its honesty.

The project serves as the official follow up to the original feature film Tumbbad, which was released under the guidance of producer Sohum Shah and subsequently experienced a significant surge in its viewership and popularity. The narrative framework of the upcoming sequel is designed to revisit the cinematic environment of the first film while exploring an array of complex and multi layered character arcs that have sparked curiosity among the public.

Reflecting on his continuous filming schedule and the development of his character from the active production location, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stated, “It is going to be a working festival for me. Even on Eid, I am shooting for Tumbbad 2. I am very excited about bringing this character to life as it has multiple layers.”

The feature film is produced under the creative stewardship of Sohum Shah.
