Actor Palak Tiwari may belong to a generation that has access to endless beauty trends and skincare products, but when it comes to her personal routine, she prefers to keep things simple. During a recent appearance on the South Delhi Girls Podcast, Palak opened up about her skincare habits, her go-to beauty essentials, and the amusing way her mother, actor Shweta Tiwari, has become an unexpected fan of her products.

Palak Tiwari quips Shweta Tiwari is in her “teenage era”: “She steals my face masks”
Palak revealed that she and her mother do not necessarily share the same beauty philosophy. However, there is one aspect where their routines now overlap. “Firstly, mom and I have nothing in common when it comes to a beauty routine, except for the things that she steals from me sporadically,” Palak said with a laugh.
The actress went on to describe how their relationship has evolved over the years, joking that parents often begin behaving like their children as they grow older. “You know, as they say, parents become your children as you grow old and they grow older. My mom, as we like to say, is going through her teenage era,” she shared.
Palak recalled how skincare products frequently disappear from her room, only for her to later discover that her mother had borrowed them. “She will steal things from my room. I’ll ask, ‘Mom, did you take that?’ And she’ll say no. Then long behold, she did take it. She steals my face masks and all of that,” she said.
As a result, Palak joked that Shweta’s current beauty routine is largely based on whatever products she is using herself. “It’s safe to say that her beauty routine right now is whatever my beauty routine is,” she added.
When asked about her own skincare essentials, Palak did not list an elaborate multi-step regimen. Instead, she highlighted two simple habits that she believes make the biggest difference. “My beauty routine is just, I think, do those collagen masks on your face every single day. The best ever. Just do it,” she said.
The actress also stressed the importance of sunscreen, a skincare staple that dermatologists around the world consistently recommend for protecting the skin from sun damage and premature ageing. “Lots of sunscreen. Literally. I know people say this and it’s gotten jarring at this point. Apply Sunscreen and drink water. But trust me, wake up, don’t even brush, put sunscreen and then brush,” Palak said humorously.
Calling the habit “life-changing” and “life-altering,” she reiterated that consistent sunscreen use, combined with nightly collagen masks, forms the foundation of her skincare routine.
