Princess and Junior Andre are back for a third instalment of The Princess Diaries and there is plenty that the brother and sister duo will be getting up to in the new season, featuring some very familiar faces along the way.
The Princess Diaries first launched on ITV2 last year, chronicling the life of Princess Andre, and just months after its debut, ITV ordered two more seasons.
The first season charted Princess’ endeavours and family life as she prepared to embrace adulthood and turn 18, and it became ITV2’s biggest-ever launch outside of Love Island and Big Brother.
The launch episode consolidated with 1 million viewers, and the show has currently been streamed 6.4 million times.
“It’s actually been crazy,” Princess said of the reaction to the show. “Being able to have three series of your own show is such an amazing thing, so I’m really grateful, and the feedback has been amazing.”
ITV previously teased that the upcoming seasons of The Princess Diaries will follow Princess “as she sets about asserting her independence and forging ahead with her career goals”.
Princess told Radio Times of season three: “Well, both our parents are in it, so that’s really good. You’re also going to see my beauty brand, you’re going to actually see what they look like. We also did something together… that people would like to see.”
While Junior added, “And you’re going to see me previewing one of my new songs. There’s a lot of exciting things.”
With the series following Princess as she begins carving out her career, she and Junior rely on each other when the cameras stop rolling.
“I kind of just take each day as it goes,” Princess explained. “I think I would never want to complain about filming because I’m very, very grateful for the opportunity. So I kind of just take each day as it goes and deal with the tiredness after.”
“Yeah, that’s pretty solid. I mean, I would say for you, a Taco Bell a day keeps the stress away,” Junior joked.
He added: “But no, it’s create. I mean it can be tiring, but we’re grateful that we’re even able to do that for work, and we like being spontaneous and doing different things, and so it’s fine.”
