Rick & Morty Season 9 to release on Hulu and HBO Max two months early
According to Warner Bros. Discovery and the official Rick and Morty X account, season 9 begins weekly streaming on Hulu and HBO Max on June 15, 2026. The streaming release previously targeted August 31, 2026. Therefore, the platform debut moved forward by more than two months.
Furthermore, the official account posted, “Rick and Morty Season 9 streaming weekly starting 6/15 on HBO Max and Hulu.” The announcement only affects streaming services in the United States.
Meanwhile, Adult Swim still premieres new episodes earlier on television. The network schedules the season 9 debut for May 24, 2026, at 11:00 PM ET. Episodes also air at 8:00 PM PT. Additionally, digital purchases become available the following day. Weekly streaming availability starts later on June 15, 2026. Therefore, the updated announcement concerns Hulu and HBO Max only.
Rick and Morty follows scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith through alternate dimensions and dangerous adventures. Justin Roiland previously voiced Rick until season 7. Ian Cardoni later assumed the role, while Harry Belden voices Morty. The series also stars Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer.
