Disney has unveiled the first look at Ryan Murphy’s new serial killer thriller The Shards – and it looks pretty stylish and dark.

The drama series, which is based on the acclaimed 2021 novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis, is set to premiere with the first two episodes on Thursday 6 August on Disney+.
The story follows a group of rich teenagers at an elite prep school in 1980s Los Angeles.
At the centre of the tale is Bret (Igby Rigney), an aspiring writer and observant teenager who sets out to uncover the truth when new student Robert Mallory’s (Homer Gere) arrival coincides with a spree of killings across the city.
The new trailer shows Bret trying to get to the bottom of the mystery, and attempting to convince his friends that Robert is bad news, but to no avail.
