MCU star Sebastian Stan, who is set to feature in The Batman: Part II, has opened up about his involvement in the highly anticipated sequel. In a recent interview, he touched upon the film’s scope and how it will surprise fans. He earlier broke his silence about his appearance in it last month.

‘Ambitious’ The Batman 2 is a big ‘challenge’ for Sebastian Stan
In an interaction promoting his new film Fjord, Sebastian Stan addressed his work on The Batman: Part II. Praising the director Matt Reeves, he promised fans would be surprised by what’s in store. Notably, the 43-year-old is reportedly playing Harvey Dent, a Gotham City District Attorney. In most stories featuring the Dark Knight, he becomes the criminal Two-Face.
Stan deemed the sequel “a challenge, like everything else”, while speaking with Deadline. He added, “I feel like it’s a really ambitious movie and I think if we do it all right — and obviously I’m so excited about Matt Reeves [directing] because he’s been one of my favorites for a long, long time — I really think it’s going to blow people away.” The actor further noted, “It’s going to surprise a lot of people, I think, too.”
In addition, Stan highlighted Batman’s enduring popularity with fans over the years, as the character came to mind while “young men” thought of “anything positive.” He elaborated, “If you’re a teenager and you’re growing up and you’re watching that, it’s about a kid being odd and figuring his way into things. And it works in very subtle ways.”
His comments come shortly after personal trainer Jason Walsh shared a video showing him taking a protein shake before beginning his training. The Thunderbolts* star first touched upon his involvement in an interview last month. He revealed he would start shooting during the summer.
The Batman: Part II premieres on October 1, 2027. Matt Reeves is directing from his and Mattson Tomlin’s screenplay. Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright are returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Oz Cobb/Penguin, Alfred Pennyworth, and James Gordon, respectively. New cast members, apart from Stan as Harvey Dent, reportedly include Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance.
