20th Century Studios has finally announced the Hulu release date for the upcoming streaming debut of Send Help, the newest horror movie from Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi. During its theatrical run, the Rachel McAdams-led survival thriller grossed around $94 million at the global box office.

“When two business colleagues become stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors of a plane crash, they must overcome past grievances and work together to stay alive. But they’re not in the office anymore, and an unsettling, wryly humorous battle of wills and wits begins in this original, darkly comedic psychological thriller,” reads the official synopsis.

Send Help is scheduled to start streaming on May 7, exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. In the film, McAdams portrays an underappreciated employee who gets into a plane crash with her rude and spoiled boss. Stranded on a deserted island, McAdams’ character becomes the boss due to her survival expertise. Since its debut, the film has received an approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 281 reviews.
Send Help was directed by Raimi, with Damian Shannon and Mark Swift co-writing the screenplay. The movie also stars Dylan O’Brien, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Bruce Campbell, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, Edyll Ismail, and more. The film was produced by Raimi and Zainab Azizi, with JJ Hook serving as an executive producer. The creative team included cinematographer Bill Pope, editor Bob Murawski, production designer Ian Gracie, and costume designer Anna Cahill. It also featured original music by composer Danny Elfman.
