The first look at The Angry Birds Movie 3 reveals new development in Red’s life. The upcoming sequel comes seven years after The Angry Birds Movie 2.

What do we see in The Angry Birds Movie 3 first look?
The first look at The Angry Birds Movie 3 has given fans a fresh look at Red and Silver’s babies (via People). The baby birds will be voiced by Walker Scobell, Emma Myers, and Psalm West, playing Glider, June, and Olly, respectively. Glider is the eldest and most adventurous kid of the lot, while June is a creative daughter. Olly, meanwhile, is the youngest hatchling.
“I played it a lot on my phone when I was a kid,” said Myers. “It’s one of those classic phone games when you’re a kid to play. The pigs were my favorite. I always felt really sad that I would attack them.”
The images reveal that the third Angry Birds film will deal with Red facing a new challenge: parenthood. That’s not all, as both Red and Silver will have to deal with children in different stages of development, a driving factor of the film’s story, not unlike the upcoming Shrek 5.
According to Myers, Jason Sudeikis’ Red is trying hard to be a “cool” dad in the film, and much of the comedy comes from that attempt. The first trailer for the film was revealed at CinemaCon, showing Red trying to deal with the chaos caused by his three children.
“He tries to be super involved and then unintentionally really embarrasses his children, which is such a dad thing to do,” she said. “I think he’s trying to be hip and cool with the kids, but then is just super cringey, which is just a classic dad move.”

“My mom used to have this iPad with this pink case,” Scobell said. “Me and my siblings used to always play games on that when we were younger, and I rememberAngry Birdswas one of them.”
The third Angry Birds Movie is directed by John Rice, based on Thurop Van Orman’s screenplay. The film stars Sudeikis, Rachel Bloom, Josh Gad, Emma Myers, Walker Scobell, Psalm West, Danny McBride, James Austin Johnson, Anthony Padilla, and Ian Hecox. Additionally, the film will also feature special voice performances from Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, MrBeast, and more.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 releases in theaters on December 23, 2026.
