The first couple of episodes of The Fortune certainly take us on quite the journey as Amanda (Eleanor Tomlinson) is left reeling when she’s left a life-changing inheritance from a man she doesn’t know.

What would likely be anyone’s dream scenario quickly turned sour as Amanda scrambled to find out any links to deceased businessman Martin (Denis Lawson) – but was ultimately met with hostility from his wife Fiona (Rebecca Front) and son Anthony (Callum Woodhouse).
Rather understandably, they too were confused about why their husband and father would bequeath his entire estate to a stranger, but it’s soon clear they’re hiding some secrets of their own.
Speaking about how the final two episodes of The Fortune unfold and asked whether they were able to guess the ending, Woodhouse told Radio Times: “Not even, not even slightly!”

He continued: “It goes to some really wild places. Characters continue to unravel and have these revelations and in some cases, react quite badly to them. It’s really exciting. [Episodes] three and four, but particularly four are both really exciting episodes.”
As for how things will unfold for the seemingly antagonistic Anthony, we’ll have to wait and see. But it’s also becoming evident that Amanda’s own husband Jimmy may be concealing something more nefarious himself.
Chatting to Radio Times about his own reaction to those final episodes, Matthew Lewis said: “It moves at quite a lick as well, because we’ve only got four episodes. Three and four, like you just said, they fly. And it does go a bit a bit mad, the decisions that people make. But I mean that in itself, is interesting.
“Eleanor was saying earlier, she watches a lot of true crime stuff,. It’s funny – this is a lot of money, but you see some stuff on these [true crime productions], people will do mad stuff for a lot less money than this. And so when you see the reality that exists out there, it actually might not seem that crazy, but no, it goes on quite a rollercoaster. I had no idea where it was going.”
