One of the best weeks in golf and the British sporting calendar has arrived. It’s time for The Open 2026.

The Masters is famed for its traditions, the US Open is the most demanding challenge, and the PGA Championship boasts arguably its deepest field.
But to many, nothing compares to The Open – the fourth and final golf major, which is the sport’s oldest tournament and dates back to 1860.
The best players in the world will look to write their names into the history books as the Champion Golfer of the Year and get their hands on the Claret Jug.
Four rounds on the sun-baked links of Royal Birkdale will push even the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy to their limits – and whoever comes out on top will certainly have earned it.
The 154th edition of The Open is set to be unforgettable and catching up on all the twists and turns has never been easier.
Radio Times brings you all the details about how to watch The Open 2026 highlights.
