What is The Punisher: One Last Kill’s TV rating?
The news for the upcoming special confirms that the Jon Bernthal-led presentation will be rated TV-MA. This means the show won’t be shying away from the typical attitude of the character, as many fans had been worried he would be more “PG” going forward thanks to his upcoming appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
AMarvelTelevision Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill debuts on Disney+ at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on May 12, 2026. Directed byReinaldo Marcus Green, theMCUspecial will once again seeJon Bernthalreprise his role asFrank Castle/The Punisher.
“As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight,” reads the official synopsis for the show. Alongside Bernthal, the special will also star Jason R. Moore, Roe Rancell, Mila Jaymes, Nick Koumalatsos, Colton Hill, Jamal Lloyd Johnson, and more.
Bernthal’s Punisher first debuted in the Netflix Daredevil show. He’s become a regular part of the Daredevil cast since then, though Frank Castle has not been a part of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
This is not only because of The Punisher: One Last Kill, but also because he’ll be appearing inMarvel Studiosand Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which arrives in July. How big a role he has in that movie remains to be seen.
