Camilla Luddington, who played Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider video games, had some advice for Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner, who is currently filming for a live-action adaptation of the famed franchise. Luddington did the voice acting and motion capture for the three acclaimed Tomb Raider games that came out between 2013 and 2018.

Camilla Luddington, the voice behind the iconic Tomb Raider in the latest set of video games from the franchise, shared helpful advice for Sophie Turner. She is currently filming for the TV series adaptation of the video game.

Alongside the voice acting, Luddington also did the motion capture for the character, which was not the easiest of tasks.

“Heating pads,” Luddington advised Sophie Turner (via PEOPLE), I did a lot of crazy stuff when I was filming [the video games].”

Luddington continued, “I just remember being so sore the next day. I’m sure she has a lot of heating pads already all over her. That would be… Yes, yes. Hot baths and heating pads.”

Sophie Turner started filming for the upcoming Tomb Raider series for Amazon Prime Video in January 2026. She was cast as the iconic character in September 2025. However, Turner got injured during the filming recently, causing a delay in production.

The Game of Thrones star previously expressed her excitement about taking on the role of Lara Croft. “She’s such an iconic character, who means so much to so many — and I am giving everything I’ve got,” she said in a statement, “They’re massive shoes to fill, following in the steps of Angelina and Alicia with their powerhouse performances, but with Phoebe at the helm, we (and Lara) are all in very safe hands. I can’t wait for you all to see what we have cooking.”

In the same interview, Camilla Luddington also expressed her desire to play a guest role in the upcoming series at some point, perhaps as a villain.

Prime Video’s Tomb Raider TV series does not have a release date yet.
