Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi has realized a major dream by signing on to star in a film produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, marking a pivotal moment in her career. In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Wamiqa expressed just how meaningful this opportunity feels, describing it as a deeply personal and nostalgic experience.

Reflecting on her journey, Wamiqa said, “It feels surreal. I’ve grown up on these films. To now be part of that world is pure joy.” She emphasized that her connection with the banner goes far beyond professional achievement, noting that watching Dharma films as a child helped shape her love for Hindi cinema. She shared, “Growing up, Dharma films, YRF, even everything Sanjay Leela Bhansali created, that was my childhood. Those films shaped how I saw cinema. So to now be doing a film with Dharma Productions feels surreal.”

Wamiqa added, “It’s nostalgic, emotional and honestly, pure joy. I’m very happy and excited to see myself in that world. There’s always a special Dharma touch you feel when you watch one of their films.” This moment represents a full-circle experience for the actress, who has worked steadily in the industry and continues to expand her filmography.

On the work front, Wamiqa was most recently seen in Bhool Chuk Maaf, a fantasy romantic comedy directed by Karan Sharma, co-starring Rajkummar Rao and Seema Pahwa. Looking ahead, she has several exciting projects lined up, including Kuku Ki Kundali with Bhuvan Bam, Tiki Taka, Goodachari 2, and the highly anticipated Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 opposite Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, set for a theatrical release next Holi.

Wamiqa will also appear in the Priyadarshan-helmed Bhoot Bangla, featuring an ensemble cast and scheduled for release in April 2026.
