Everton begin their preparations for the new Premier League season against Dundee on Saturday afternoon.

The Toffees returned to training at the back end of last week and make the trip north of the border to Dens Park for the first friendly on their summer schedule.

Fans could be treated to their first glimpse of Hayden Hackney in a blue shirt following the midfielder’s £24million switch from Middlesbrough.

Dundee should provide a solid test for Everton as the Scottish Premiership outfit have already played a couple of competitive fixtures.

The Dee beat Airdrieonians 4-2 in last week’s opening Scottish League Cup outing before hitting five without reply past Annan Athletic in the same competition on Tuesday.
