The match has been played at 2pm in the past but was shifted later last year to become the final match of the day on Centre Court.

The women’s final was shown live on BBC Two, with players walking on at 4pm with plenty of build-up beforehand.

Who won Wimbledon last year?
Iga Świątek ended her long wait for the Wimbledon title in last year’s final in a dominant victory over 13th seed Amanda Anisimova.
Świątek double-bagelled her American opponent, winning 6-0 6-0, to win the Championships for the first time.
The Pole’s title defence was ended in the third round at Wimbledon 2026, when she was beaten in straight sets by Alexandra Eala.
