Love Island is no stranger to throwing in a bombshell that’ll shake up the villa, but no one was expecting a sibling of another Islander to join just days into the series!

Earlier this week, Kavan Murphy entered the villa after taking Ellie Chadwick on a date, who had been dumped from the island the night before but was given a second chance in Kavan.
For those who have been following along with all the drama, Ellie previously had a connection with Kavan’s brother, Aidan. But now, Kavan and Ellie have coupled up which could spell sibling rivalry…
As the series continues, here’s everything you need to know about Love Island 2026 contestant Kavan Murphy.

Who is Kavan Murphy?
Kavan Murphy is an electrician from Kent whose main goal is finding love while in the Love Island villa. And if his surname rings a bell, it is because he is Aidan’s younger brother, who is also on the show.
A self-described “chill person”, Kavan plans to stay calm and collected when met with drama in the villa.
As for his strategy when it comes to looking for love, Kavan said: “If I like someone, I’ll go straight for it. I’ll still get to know everyone there, especially with new people coming in but if I’m into someone, I’ll grab it with both hands.”
How old is Kavan Murphy?
Kavan Murphy is 21 years old, making him one of the youngest Islanders on the show this eason.
Is Kavan from Love Island 2026 on Instagram?

He sure is! You can follow Kavan on Instagram via the handle @kavanmurphee where, at the time of reporting, he has 10,500 followers.
What is Kavan’s ‘type on paper’?
Like some of the other Islanders, Kavan admits he doesn’t have “a strict type”, but tends to go for brunettes, though it’s “more about personality”.
