More than just glory is on offer at the World Snooker Championship.

The fourth and final snooker major, which marks the end of the World Snooker Tour 2025/26 season, is the title that all players dream of winning.
It’s a chance to write for competitors to write their name into the sport’s history books and cement their legacy, while the six-figure prize certainly doesn’t hurt.
The 2026 tournament has already proven a moneymaker for one of the players involved, with Chinese 23-year-old Chang Bingyu enjoying a sizeable payday after his 147 in qualifying, which was his second at the majors and could see him bank £172,000 when all is said and done.
More than £2.5 million is set to be handed out at the Crucible over the next few weeks – with the largest chunk going to the new world champion.
RadioTimes.com brings you all the details on the World Snooker Championship 2026 prize money.
