3 top-tier movies and shows leaving Netflix in May 2026 you still have time to stream

Posted on May 11, 2026May 11, 2026 By webseriesdownload No Comments on 3 top-tier movies and shows leaving Netflix in May 2026 you still have time to stream

Another month means another rotation of titles leaving Netflix, and May 2026 is no exception. While streaming libraries are constantly shifting, some departures sting more than others. This month, three top-tier movies and shows are on their way out. They are Crossroads, Pig, and Your Honor. Whether you missed them the first time or want a rewatch, there’s still time to catch them before they’re gone!

Crossroads (2002)

  • Netflix removal date: May 21, 2026

Not many early-2000s films capture the spirit of teen friendship and self-discovery quite like Crossroads. Starring Britney Spears in her first and only major leading film role, the movie follows three childhood friends who reconnect after years apart and set off on an unexpected cross-country road trip that changes everything.

Simply, Crossroads is a coming-of-age story about identity, ambition, and the messy transition into adulthood. The journey begins when the trio reunites on graduation night and digs up a time capsule they buried as children. Each girl is now at a different point in life: Lucy is an overachieving valedictorian living under her strict father’s control, Kit is a seemingly perfect prom queen with cracks in her picture-perfect life, and Mimi is a rebellious outsider dealing with serious personal trauma.

The road trip to Los Angeles becomes the emotional core of the film. What starts as a spontaneous adventure turns into a journey of self-discovery, as each character is forced to confront uncomfortable truths about their past and future. Lucy, in particular, begins to realize she has been living a life shaped entirely by her father’s expectations rather than her own desires. Along the way, the film explores themes of friendship, healing, and independence.

Pig (2021)

  • Netflix removal date: May 26, 2026

Compared to the upbeat, teenage road-trip energy of Crossroads, Pig takes a completely different approach. It’s quiet, haunting, and emotionally heavy in a way that slowly pulls you in rather than trying to grab your attention right away.

Starring Nicolas Cage, the film follows Rob Feld, a reclusive former chef who has retreated deep into the Oregon wilderness and has cut himself off almost entirely from society. His only real companion is his truffle-hunting pig, aka an animal that means far more to him than just a means of survival.

So when the pig is violently stolen during a break-in, Rob is pushed back into Portland and forced to confront a past he’s been avoiding. He teams up with Amir, a young truffle dealer who once helped him navigate the restaurant scene, to track her down.

At first, the movie feels like it’s heading toward a revenge story. A man loses something he loves and goes after whoever took it. But Pig quickly shifts gears and refuses to play into that expectation. Instead, it becomes something much more reflective. It touches on grief, identity, and what we carry with us after loss.

As Rob moves through the high-end culinary world he once helped shape, he runs into people from his former life. Each encounter peels back another layer of who he used to be. We learn that he wasn’t always a hermit. In fact, he was once a respected chef whose work helped define a whole dining scene. But after losing his wife, his world never really recovered. Rather than face the pain, Rob chose disappearance over healing and left behind everything and everyone he once knew.

Your Honor (2020-2023)

  • Netflix removal date: May 31, 2026

Closing out the list is Your Honor, a gripping legal drama series led by Bryan Cranston that explores how far a person will go when morality collides with family loyalty.

The series centers on Michael Desiato, a respected judge in New Orleans whose life unravels after his teenage son is involved in a hit-and-run accident that kills the son of a powerful crime family. Faced with an impossible choice, Michael initially considers doing the right thing. That’s until he learns the victim is tied to a dangerous mobster. That discovery changes everything.

Instead of turning his son in, Michael makes a split-second decision to cover up the crime. What then follows is a spiraling chain of lies, cover-ups, and escalating violence that pulls him deeper into the criminal underworld he once stood apart from.

As Crossroads, Pig, and Your Honor prepare to leave Netflix in May 2026, they each represent a different kind of storytelling experience. One captures the uncertainty of growing up and finding your own path, another quietly unpacks grief and the emotional weight of letting go, and the last dives into the devastating ripple effects of a single moral decision gone wrong.

That said, now’s the perfect time to stream them before they leave Netflix, especially if any of these have been sitting on your watchlist!
