A stylistic and innovative week of Coronation Street is on the way, taking the viewer back to the day of Carla and Lisa Connor-Swain’s (Alison King and Vicky Myers) wedding day.
The first four instalments take us to the moment of the reception starting at Underworld, before progressing onto individual storylines concerning the possible victims; Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown), Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) and Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon).
As fireworks light up the Weatherfield sky celebrating the ITV soap’s first sapphic nuptials, poor Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) stumbles across the dead body.
But who has died, and who has blood on their hands?
Here’s a day-by-day guide to all of the action in Coronation Street, airing between Monday 27 April and Friday 1 May.
5 Coronation Street spoilers for next week
1. Monday: Todd Grimshaw tries to outrun Theo Silverton
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is innocently packing his bags before heading to Thailand when Theo barges into the flat. Fortunately, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is just seconds behind him, and the two manage to overpower Theo before making a quick escape.
Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has to give the bad news that there’s no sign of him when they report the incident to the police.
The cab to the airport pulls up, and just as Todd makes his escape, he remembers that he left his phone at the flat. On the path down Victoria Street, Theo emerges from the shadows holding the device.
Will Todd go to extreme lengths to rid Theo from his life?
2. Tuesday: Carl Webster plots his final act of revenge
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) breaks the news to husband Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) and brother Kevin (Michael Le Vell) that she handed Carl some cash and ordered him to leave Weatherfield.
However, before he departs, Carl decides to ruffle some final feathers and winds up Theo, Kevin, Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
After receiving a message from Kev, Carl sneaks into the auto centre and tampers with the breaks on his car.
Will somebody find him, and could his act of revenge have disastrous consequences?

3. Wednesday: Jodie Ramsey’s past catches up with her
Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) has advised her sister Jodie to leave the cobbles for her own safety. However, the tables turn when two men accost Shona, and make it clear that they’re there to retrieve the stolen hard drive.
Shona can see that Jodie is a broken woman, and asks her to stay. Jodie contemplates it, but upon making a discovery that proves Shona lied about not receiving her letter, she becomes hellbent on revenge.
She swoops in and makes yet another move on David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), hoping it ruins his marriage, but ultimately ends up being thrown out and alone in the dark night. Little does she realise, someone is watching from afar.
At the precinct, someone approaches her and she’s taken aback by the identity of the person. Could this be the end?
4. Thursday: Will Maggie or Megan fall to their death?
Sisters Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor) drag Megan into the salon flat and force her to confess to grooming Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson0Wale).
She refuses, and a scuffle ensues – which ends up with her being punched in the nose!
Rushing off to find ex-boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), she fails to gain sympathy and is thrown out into the ginnel. There, she overhears Maggie arguing with Ben Driscoll’s (Aaron McCusker) ex-wife Melanie, and is secretly records some incriminating information about Maggie’s husband Alan’s death.
As viewers saw during a flashback episode, Maggie pushed Alan down a staircase to his death.
Maggie seeks out Megan and it all kicks off, but when Megan reveals a secret of her own, it reaches another level. Could one of the women fall to their death?
5. Betsy Swain makes a horrifying discovery as each story intertwines
Five storylines collide in a thunderous finale to Corrie’s ‘Murder Week’.
As fireworks celebrating Carla and Lisa’s nuptials flood the Weatherfield sky, chaos erupts below. Theo hunts Todd through the streets, with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) caught in the deadly game of cat-and-mouse.
Meanwhile, Megan and Maggie clash as a long-buried secret claws its way to the surface, and Jodie fears her past is circling back.
Sarah is caught in the crossfire when she stumbles across a home intrusion, and Ronnie takes justice into his own hands – could this spell the end of stepson Carl?
A piercing scream cuts through the night as Betsy discovers a neighbour’s lifeless body, solving one mystery of February’s flash-forward… and sparking another: which resident has blood on their hands?
