“We have some business to discuss…” Saban Films has revealed their official trailer for the movie Badland Rising, formerly known as Homeward, an intense action thriller from Australia made by filmmaker Blair Moore. An ordinary bloke embarks on a 19-hour drive home, unaware he’s being pursued by two unhinged criminals. Once he discovers their motive, his journey turns into a brutal fight for survival. Filmed on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Starring Jake Ryan, Nathan Phillips, Steve Mouzakis, & Robert Rabiah. When a botched robbery erupts nearby, Dave, a former SAS sniper working in construction, is carjacked by fleeing criminals and escapes, unknowingly taking their stolen cash. Now pursued by ruthless robbers, Dave races home to protect his wife and son. With danger closing in from every direction, the chase explodes into a violent showdown. A gritty, high-octane thriller about survival, loyalty, and how far this one man will go to defend what’s his. Badland Rising is directed by the Australian action producer / filmmaker Blair Moore, director of the action movie Kane previously. The screenplay is written by Dru Brown and Blair Moore. It’s produced by Lav Bodnaruk, Dru Brown, Brett Kennedy, Michael Mier, Blair Moore, Steve Morris. This initially premiered at the 2025 Brisbane Film Festival last year.
