Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka has a release date set for 2026. However, Lucasfilm and Disney+ have yet to reveal the exact timeframe that episodes will arrive in. Recently, Dave Filoni offered an update regarding the season’s arrival. While the showrunner promised fans it is still coming, he remained tight-lipped about its exact release window.

Star Wars’ Dave Filoni gives update on Ahsoka Season 2
On the red carpet for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, Filoni gave an update on Ahsoka Season 2’s post-production. He revealed that he and the creative team have made significant progress.
“Working on it,” he told ScreenRant in response to a question about the upcoming season. “Working on it, it’s coming. I mean, it’s come a long way.” He added that he was currently editing all the episodes and focusing on the visual effects. Furthermore, he expressed pride in the crew’s hard work before mentioning there were “lots of things” to sort out, stressing it’s “normal.”
Filoni then expressed excitement for fans to see what they have worked on. “You know, we didn’t really get to go out and premiere in a way last time. So I think the team is really excited to be out with the fans with this one, and see how it goes,” he continued.
While he admitted knowing the sophomore season’s release date, he elected not to reveal it. “I’m not saying,” he shared. “I might know, yeah, I might know.” He stressed that the show needs its time in the spotlight, like how Maul – Shadow Lord, which arrived recently, currently needs it.
Although Filoni didn’t reveal Ahsoka Season 2’s release date, his confirmation that much of the post-production work has been done indicates that the season will drop later this year.
The second season of the show will pick up from the previous season’s events. Filoni wrote all eight episodes and will direct some of them. Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jennifer Getzinger, and Anders Engström will helm others.
Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano. Other returning cast members include Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, among others.
