Star Plus has announced its new reality show, India Ke Top 1%, with Anil Kapoor set to take on hosting duties. The upcoming series aims to offer a different take on competitive reality television by focusing on logic, reasoning, observation, and decision-making rather than conventional general knowledge-based questions.

The format moves away from traditional quiz shows that primarily reward factual knowledge and instead places emphasis on problem-solving abilities and quick thinking. As the competition advances, contestants will face increasingly difficult challenges, with the ultimate goal of earning a place among what the show describes as “India’s Top 1% thinkers.”

Speaking about his association with the project, Anil Kapoor shared why the concept resonated with him. “I have always believed that India is a nation driven by raw instinct, unmatched observation, and incredible street-smartness. Walk down any street in our country, and you will find people who can outsmart anyone under the sun, not because they memorized an encyclopedia, but because their brainpower is sharpened by life experiences”.

It completely levels the playing field!”, the actor shared. He went on to add, “I am thrilled to host the show on Star Plus. We are giving our people a stage to flaunt the logical prowess that is so unique to India and Indians, and I’m proud to play my part in it.”

The announcement marks another television venture for Anil Kapoor, who has previously hosted and appeared on several reality-based formats. With India Ke Top 1%, the actor will front a show that seeks to spotlight analytical thinking and real-world problem-solving skills.
