Ananya Panday received a rare and memorable compliment from Amitabh Bachchan during her recent appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati, where the veteran actor spoke at length about her performance in Kesari Chapter 2. Bachchan lauded Ananya for delivering a restrained yet effective portrayal, particularly highlighting her ability to communicate emotion without relying heavily on dialogue.

Speaking on the show, Bachchan acknowledged the scale of the film and the presence of several seasoned performers. “I told her that the movie had many famous actors, and everyone did a great job. While working with such legendary actors, Ananya performed her role very well,” he said.

He went on to underline what stood out most to him in her performance. “Her dialogues were limited, but the way she expressed through her eyes…” Bachchan noted, drawing attention to the subtlety of her acting and the emotional weight she brought to the character.

Reflecting on the craft of acting, Bachchan explained how preparation alone is never enough. “We are all in the same profession. We are informed three months earlier—about our roles, dialogues, and everything else. But when it is time for the shoot, it should make the audience realise the importance of the situation or a particular scene,” he said, stressing that authenticity and ease of performance are crucial.

Calling such execution a demanding task, Bachchan added, “It should be realistic and delivered with ease. It is quite a tremendous task. That’s where an actor will turn legendary. I felt that when I watched you.”

Currently, Ananya is busy with the promotions of her next, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, scheduled to release on December 25, 2025.
