Academy Award nominees Ana de Armas and Kate Hudson have signed on for the leading roles in the upcoming erotic thriller movie. Titled Palm Grove, the project hails from Chernin Entertainment and Pieces of a Woman filmmaker Kornél Mundruczó.

What do we know about the new Ana de Armas and Kate Hudson movie?
According to Deadline, Chernin Entertainment is releasing the package in the market tomorrow, which is expected to garner attention from many potential buyers. Mundruczó will be directing the erotic thriller film from a screenplay written by James Morosini. The latter is also serving as an executive producer, with Peter Chernin, David Ready, and Brady Fujikawa producing for Chernin Entertainment.
“The story is set in Miami’s most exclusive neighborhood, where a picture-perfect wife uncovers her husband’s double life – igniting a seductive power game that turns betrayal into the most intoxicating game of her life,” reads the film’s initial synopsis.
De Armas was last seen starring in 2025’s John Wick spin-off Ballerina. She’s currently filming her first major TV project with Apple TV titled Safe House. Meanwhile, Hudson’s most recent movie Song Sung Blue had earned her multiple Best Actress nominations, including an Oscar and a Golden Globe. She also recently reprised her leading role in Netflix’s sports comedy TV show Running Point, which had just been renewed for a third season. At the moment, she’s in production for her first romance comedy movie in a long time after 2011’s Something Borrowed. The upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film, titled Hello & Paris, will also be led by Javier Bardem.
