DreadXP and developer PHL Games have announced they will be releasing the video game adaptation of Shudder and AMC’s Creepshowon PC via Steam in August. This will be the first time that the hit episodic horror series has been available in video game form, and will copy the franchise’s signature anthology format through standalone stories. Watch the new trailer below…

Fans of Creepshowwill be happy to hear that the game will contain the series’ unique blend of scares and twisted humour, wrapped up in comic-book style art, while maintaining the spirit of the beloved franchise. Players will be able to enjoy the journey through self-contained horror stories that will provide dramatic gameplay, horrifying surprises and nail-biting excitement.
Players will follow Danny and his friends as they seek out answers to what happened to Danny’s father. As their search takes a sinister turn and they unearth dark and terrifying secrets, they encounter The Reader, a mysterious fortune-teller with a fondness for treacherous tales.

Creepshowwill feature:
- Multiple standalone horror stories allowing players to experience an anthology of terror.
- Storytelling that is half horror, half fun, all twisted captures the Creepshowtone.
- A visual style that provides the authentic spirit of the franchise.

“Getting to publish the iconic Creepshow brand as a game has been a creative dream we don’t want to wake up from, and we think it’s going to pull a whole new audience into the Creep’s tent,” “The teams at AMC, PHL, and DreadXP have put a lot of work in to create something that genuinely feels like you are living (or dying) inside a Creepshow episode, and we can’t wait for fans, old and new, to play it,” said Patrick Ewald, Founder and CEO of DreadXP.
Look out for the cheerfully gruesome Creepshowarriving on Steam for PC this August.
